Snuffles Big Day Out - Rated 12+
In Snuffles Big Day Out , Alpha3760 has memorialized an incident where the man most of you probably know as Sirius Black transforms himself into his canine-form to amuse Baby Harry and is caught by the muggle animal control authorities. Poor Snuffles suffers imprisonment in the dog pound, an examination by a veterinarian, and a flea-dip. It's no wonder that shortly after this incident, that Sirius Black disappeared from wizarding society and reincarnated himself as Stubby Boardman, lead singer of the Hobgoblins. Of course, the flea bath was rather a wasted effort - everyone knows that Animagi can't get fleas or ticks unless they assume their animal form for longer than 13 days.
The Quest for Lallamores - Rated 12+
I almost didn't recommend the next story, because my father always taught me that it is impolite to quote yourself in a newspaper, but I just had to share sauerkraut_poet 's whimsical one-shot, The Quest for Lallamores . I wasn't too sure how I felt about this story at first - it pairs me with that funny Slytherin boy, Gregory Goyle, but it is a nice change to be linked with someone other than Neville and Harry. Gregory is actually a quite nice fellow, once you get to know him . . . he might come across as stupid at first, but he's quite clever and he knows all about nargles and lallamores and mungsquirgers.
The Death of the Greatest Wizard That Ever Lived - Rated 12+
The Ministry of Magic has unsuccessfully tried to suppress my next recommendation dozens of times. You see, the goblins who secretly control the Ministry don't want you to know the truth, but a brave writer named RavenGryffendor was willing to tell the truth about how and when Professor Dumbledore really died. I think Hermione Granger has been trying to have this story removed from the archives on the basis that it shows house-elves in an unflattering light, but she's a bit touched in the head, always spewing on and on about elf liberation. She really ought to be more concerned about how the radiation from solar flares is stunting the growth of baby unicorn horns in the Forbidden Forest.
Unfogging the Future - Rated 15+
This expose was written by Professor Snape's long lost identical twin sister MadameSnape , who went to Durmstrang. It's a very romantic, enchanting story about the greatest love affair ever at Hogwarts, between her brother and Professor Trelawney. This ill-fated pair faces many setbacks as they pursue each other, and to this day, they both vehemently deny any of this ever happened. I cry every single time I read it, but for some reason, everyone else seems to think the story is hysterical. The idea of Snape having a romantic life must be too much for them. Personally, I think most of my fellow Ravenclaws are emotionally immature. I bet their wands are infested with nargles.
Sirius Black and the Secret Sect - Rated 15+
Another one about Stubby Boardman (aka Sirius Black). This charming and amusing story by Llewellyn McEllis exposes the truth about the most giggly, estrogen-driven, secret society at Hogwarts: The Sisterhood of Black. No wonder Stubby became a rock musician after being fawned over by groupies during his Hogwarts days! Unfortunately, Miss McEllis seems to have bought in to the Ministry cover story that there was actually a man named Sirius Black, but it's still a wonderful read. P.S. - The secret room she writes about really exists, but it has been turned into a yoga and meditation studio, to help over-stressed Ravenclaws relax.
