1492 - Nearly Headless Nick dies of a botched beheading.

1560 - Mungo Bonham, Founder of St Mungo's is born.

1612 - There is a goblin rebellion and the headquarters are the Inn in Hogsmeade.
Elfrida Clagg, Chieftainess of the Warlock's council is born.

1637 - Werewolf code of conduct is written.

1659 - Mungo Bonham dies.

1687 – Elfrida Clagg dies.

1709 – Warlock’s convention outlaws dragon breeding.

1750 – Department of Magical Games and Sports established.

1840 - Dumbledore, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian born*

1851 -Dumbeldore starts at Hogwarts. He is examined by Griselda Marchbanks who says later that he did things with a wand she'd never seen before.

1858 - Dumbledore graduates from Hogwarts.

1918 - First edition of Fantastic Beasts is commissioned by Augustus Worme of Obscure Books.
It is first published in 1927.

1927 - Tom Marvolo Riddle born.

1929 - Hagrid born.

1943 - Chamber of Secrets opened by Tom Riddle
Moaning Myrtle dies.
Hagrid expelled from Hogwarts.

1944 - Tom Marvolo Riddle Graduated from Hogwarts, Head Boy.

1945 - Dumbledore defeats the Dark Wizard Grindelwald.

1951 – Rita Skeeter born.

1954 - Lucius Malfoy born.

1956 - Minerva McGonagall begins teaching at Hogwarts.

1960 - Lily Evans, the Marauders and Severus Snape born.

1965 – Lucius Malfoy starts at Hogwarts.

1970 – Bill Weasley Born*

1970/1 – Dumbledore made Headmaster of Hogwarts.
Lily Evans, the Marauders and Severus Snape start attending Hogwarts.

1972 – Charlie Weasley born*

1975 – The Marauders, excluding Remus Lupin become Animagi.

1976 - Percy Weasley*, Penelope Clearwater, Oliver Wood, Marcus Flint born.

1977 – Cedric Diggory, Angelica Johnson born.
James Potter and Lily Evans are Head Boy and Girl at Hogwarts.

1978 – June: Lily Evans, the Marauders, Severus Snape graduated*
July: Lily Evans and James Potter marry*
Fred and George Weasley born.

1979 - Cho Chang born.
19th September: Hermione Granger born

1980 - Professor Sybill Trelawney hired at Hogwarts.
31st July: Harry Potter born.
1st May Ron Wesley born.

Harry Potter first uses his gift of parseltongue.
Harry Potter comes to Hogwarts (and the rest of his year. Term starts 1st September).
Dudley Dursley undergoes surgery for the removal of a pigs tail.
Harry Potter becomes the youngest Quidditch player in a century.
The Philosophers stone destroyed.
Norbet the dragon born.

1992 -
500th DeathDay for Nearly Headless Nick.
Chamber of Secrets opened by Ginny Weasley.
Rubeus Hagrid’s name cleared.
Gilderoy Lockheart is hired at Hogwarts and loses his memory.

1993 - Sirius Black escapes from Azkaban.
Dementors are posted at all exits to Hogwarts and in Hogsmeade.
Professor Remus Lupin is hired at Hogwarts.

1994 - Professor Alastor Moody is hired at Hogwarts.
Triwizard Tournament brought back. Hosted at Hogwarts.
Cedric Diggory dies.

1995 - Professor Umbridge hired.
Harry Potter's Occulmency lessons start with Professor Snape.

1996 - Sirius Black dies.
Professor Umbridge fired.

1998 - Harry Potter and the rest of his year should graduate Hogwarts.
